Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ProbateMatch.ie ("we", "us") handles your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you complete our form we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, county, the type of legal help you need, and the description of your situation.

How we use it

We use your details solely to match you with a relevant solicitor and to follow up on your enquiry. We pass your enquiry to one or more solicitors so they can contact you about the help you requested. This is the entire purpose of the service.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — but only if you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works fully. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and IP addresses are anonymised.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for unrelated marketing.

Legal basis

Our legal basis for processing is your consent (given when you submit the form) and our legitimate interest in operating the matching service.

Retention

We keep enquiry details only as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet any legal obligations, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email nicholas.rooney2010@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Third parties

Form submissions are delivered by email using a third-party email delivery provider. Solicitors who receive your enquiry are independent data controllers responsible for their own handling of your data.
